Our first calf; named after Amelia Earhart.   We jokingly refer to her as our big "dog" because she's often found  toddling right alongside us when doing our farm chores.  She's  inquisitive, will walk up to say hi, and plop her chin on your chest for  a neck rub.  When it comes to the herd, she loves trying to take her  place as the boss cow and isn't afraid to challenge anyone.  She'll even  get a little rowdy and will try to push our bull, Abe,  around from time to time.  He'll let her think she's in charge for a  couple minutes before putting her in her place.  It's fun to watch!

She has great conformation and has put on weight pretty quickly.   While her horns started growing more vertically than we would have  liked, they're starting to pick up a nice aft-rolling twist (like her  mama).  At the 2023 ORVTLA show she won her class and was the Reserve  Champion Senior Heifer.
